Query Explanation

This alert monitors the configuration synchronization across an Alertmanager cluster. The alertmanager_config_hash metric reports a hash of the configuration loaded by each Alertmanager instance. The query counts how many distinct configuration hashes are present across all Alertmanager instances. The alert triggers if this count is greater than 1, indicating that two or more Alertmanager instances have different configurations loaded, making them out of sync.
