Number of open databases exceeds 90% of node capacity

The rule fires when the metric couchdb_httpd_open_databases (the current number of open databases on a CouchDB node) exceeds 90 % of the node’s capacity, i.e., when it is greater than 0.9 × 1000 = 900. If more than 900 databases are open, the “CouchDB open databases critical” alert is triggered.
